What is the Management Assistance Program (MAP)?

The Management Assistance Program was created by DeSales Community Housing and the St. Louis Development Corp. to help stabilize the rental markets in and around the DeSales service area. MAP provides free professional property management services to qualified absentee property owners for up to two years. MAP is managed by Fox Grove Management, a DeSales affiliate, and is run out of a neighborhood office in Fox Park. It is funded wholly through the Community Development Block Grant.

What services are offered by MAP?

MAP provides free professional property management services, including tenant screening and leasing, rent collection and delinquency monitoring, eviction assistance, maintenance repairs, 24 hour answering service, inspections and monthly owner’s statements.

What properties qualify for MAP?

Properties located in the Fox Park, McKinley Heights, Tower Grove East, and Benton Park West neighborhoods in the City of St. Louis are eligible to participate in MAP. In addition, properties in the 9th Ward qualify. There is limited room in the program, so owners may be put on a waiting list.

Preference is given to absentee owners who are in need of management help. Properties referred to the program by the city’s housing court or Alderman will also have priority but owners must have the means to make improvements.

How do I sign up for MAP?

Please contact the DeSales office for information about MAP and participation requirements.
